Yoga Asana

Yoga Asana - Is a way of saying yoga poses.  There are a number of different practices that are used for different reasons, yoga is what you make it... We focus on the slower more rejuvenative practices outlined below.

Yin Yoga - A practice of maintaining various poses in order to reach and relieve tension deep within your tissue.  As you enter poses you will find your edge/tolerance, and be still, breathing effortlessly. By holding poses for a longer duration the yogi is given space to go within and connect mind body and soul.

Restorative Yoga - Another gentle Yoga practice that focuses on assisting the practitioner in accessing their parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system to allow better response to stimuli.  This practice involves less movement and relies on yogic tools & gravity to aid in relaxing and stressing the deep tissue.

Vinyasa Yoga - A much more rigorous practice that flows from position to position.  All vinyasa practices will begin with warm up, traditional Sun Salutation A and B, flow sequences and a cool down.
